Challenges
KSFCU had 300 followers (combined) on their Facebook & Instagram pages and really wanted to build both platforms to better reach and engage their 150K members on a regular basis.
They had never run a cross-promotional digital marketing campaign before so metrics and expectations had to be set.
KSFCU didn’t rank on page one for any of their top keywords despite being the largest, most established credit union in their area.

To address social media, Nettra created member avatars and developed content around them. We then created a daily posting schedule and created a review process for every post. In addition, we used Facebook Ads to target potential followers within their geo. Over the next 5 years and 4,000+ organic social media posts later, KSFCU had over 20k followers on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

Nettra created a hyper-targeted/optimized cross-promotional marketing campaign by leveraging the social media followers as a targeting parameter on each ad platform (Facebook, Google Search & Display, YouTube, Twitter, and LinkedIn). Our tactics produced thousands of new members, accounts, and loan products.

Within two years Nettra’s SEO campaign helped KSFCU to go from not ranking for any top keywords to ranking on page one for all of them! We started by building a new website for KSFCU in WordPress, hosted by WP Engine.
We installed technical SEO tactics as we built the site. We wrote all the content for the site, thereby ensuring they’d rank for their top keywords. We utilized data-driven design while laying the site out to ensure great UX (user experience). We also created a blog where we wrote and published financial literacy content every month.

Not only did our SEO approach translate into thousands of new members, accounts, and loans, we also won “Best Credit Union Website” from the Web Marketing Association.
